Wow, 2017 is here! It is hard to believe that we are nearing 16 full years in Colorado and ministering at Forge. God continues to bless our ministry efforts as we continue to see thousands of salvation decisions and many transformed lives through discipleship. But, as we have given our lives to seeing ordinary people become effective Kingdom Laborers in their everyday world, we are realizing more and more that seeing our kids become those same types of Kingdom Laborers is even more important to us.
It has been so good incredible to see God work in and through the lives of each of our kids. One of the greatest blessings of ministering at Forge is the community of people that continue to pour into our kids. They continue to learn about who The Lord is and how to live for Him by the daily example of the people around us.
One of the biggest challenges of being in Colorado sending them to “big city” public schools. We seem to often repeat “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world,” as we send them off for another day in the diverse environments of their schools. But, God truly is GREATER. Foster (6) has been chatting with his 1st grade friend about following Jesus. Chase continues to find the only other dedicated Christian 6th grade boys to be friends with and stand against the turmoil of middle school with. Sophia continues to be a light for Christ and friend to any student and several 8th grade teachers. AND we perpetually have 2 to 6 extra kids we are taking to youth group every Wednesday night. God is good and faithful to use children to be His light to a dark world.
