Dear Co-Laborer,
Thank you for your interest in being in ministry with us at Smoky Mountain Outreach. God is at work in the hearts and lives of people all over our area and we are excited about having you be a part of this developing story.
Our growing focus as a ministry is one of helping the Church practice the redemptive presence of Jesus every day, everywhere, to everyone. Our hope, at Smoky Mountain Outreach, is to facilitate a movement of restoring communities. We want every youth and adult to be a part of this movement, not only here, but in their own town or city.
As you and your youth group consider joining us for a Mission Week, the information provided in the “Forms and Documents” section below will provide you with policies and forms that need to be completed at different stages of your preparation. Please take your time, read each portion carefully, and take note of “due dates” provided. Your attention to detail will help ensure a better experience for all of us!
Thank you, again, for your interest and commitment to missions. If you have questions, please feel free to call us at 800.873.8957.
On Mission,
Jason Roe
Director

Camp Montvale is located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, eight miles from Maryville, TN. The Camp has historically been operated by the YMCA, but was recently purchased and newly renovated by Harmony Family Center. It provides the perfect setting for Smoky Mountain Outreach to set up base camp.
Our groups enjoy the exclusive use of a 364 acre property, large and small outdoor pavilions, and a central lodge for worship and meals. Montvale offers a wide range of recreational activities—a brand new outdoor basketball court, pool, sand volleyball, and fire pit. Montvale has eight (air conditioned) cabins for sleeping that we utilize to host our groups.
You will utilize your own vehicles for travel to and from work sites while at Smoky Mountain Outreach. Maps and site maps will be provided upon arrival by your ministry coordinator.
FEBRUARY 1st Register by February 1st and each person in your group will receive a free 2020 Smoky Mountain Outreach T-Shirt.

We have found that one of the most effective and efficient ways to raise money for a mission trip is simply to ask. As believers, we are ALL called to be a part of missions. For some, that means going, and for others, sending. Host a letter writing party for your group, and make it a goal for each student to send 25 letters.
Try hosting an event, such as a dinner, concert, walk/run, rummage sale or silent auction. These not only give your group the opportunity to raise money, but they also give the youth an opportunity to bring awareness to the need for missions.
If you are planning ahead, ask your church to include funds in the mission’s budget to help support the youth on the mission field.
