John & Darcey Vermilya

Vermilya.jpgIn Romans 10:14-15 Paul writes, “How are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?” These verses mean that God uses both the preacher and the senders equally in ministry. We hope you believe that as much as we do, and that our report is an encouragement to you.

Your investment massively impacted men across Canada over the last 2 years.  The Promise Keepers events I served at covered major cities from Newfoundland in the east, and as far west as Calgary. At each stop I was asked to speak for the closing altar call, and God did an amazing work. On some nights, more than half the audience responded, either making first-time decision or re-committing themselves to Jesus.

Back in Michigan, our church opened a new building and we’ve seen an instant spike in growth. Over 1200 people attended our services on Easter, so we are praising God for that. We continue to see much fruit in the ministry overlap between Forge and the Tabernacle.

Personally, Darcey and I are enjoying having all our children under one roof. They keep us very busy, but we know this season of life won’t last forever. We are making many memories and trying to enjoy every minute of it.  We thank you for your friendship and for helping us fulfill God’s call on our lives.
