“It can’t be done! It’s too crazy! The task is too big! There are too many barriers! It will cost too much!” That was what many proclaimed when the match was lit and the vision began; the spark of a vision to see the unreached come to know and love Jesus and join His mission to reach others.
Meet the Hadzabe tribe of East Africa: living in grass huts, speaking an isolated click language, hunting with bows and arrows, and traditionally worshiping the sun alongside ancestor spirits. They had no church, no discipleship in their language, no Bible, no on-ground laborers working to bring Jesus up close.
Seeing the need, Jesus said, “the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few” – here, there, and world-wide. And for some, not only are they few but none. Yet God is on the move among the unreached of the world – and specifically among the Hadza!
Various Hadza people have now come to know Jesus and share Him with others. Much of the Bible has now been translated and recorded for them to listen (Click on HadzabeBible.com to experience what they are hearing). The first ever Hadzabe initiated and Hadzabe led Church has emerged
Yet more Hadza still wait to hear the message. And there are others world-wide still waiting for someone to bring them hope. Jesus declares “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached… to all nations, and then the end will come.” This is one of the most important tasks left for us to do.
What will you do? Will you start today by praying for more Kingdom Laborers to be raised up among those who have never heard?
