Fred Lynch tells about when he younger and traveling with a gospel rap group called P.I.D. (Preachers in Disguise). A low-budget operation, the band needed some help with transportation. Fred’s uncle kindly let them barrow his old, but available, van. Fred continues the story of how a broken gas gauge and his failure to calculate the miles-til-empty left him and his band stranded along a desert highway, 50 miles from nowhere, at three in the morning. Fred concludes the story by reminding us: we may forget the gas, but God does not forget us.
