Adrian and Lisa Despres

desprefamilysession.2014.098_1024My fall and Christmas season was amazing, not only in the ministry, but also with family.  After a year of finding out that I have diabetes, losing my brother, losing one of my best friends, losing my mentor, and then putting down two dogs, this past Christmas was a great time of rest with my family.  My speaking schedule was slammed with several blessings.  I even had the privilege of speaking in my home church and seeing God at work there.  On New Year’s Eve, I spoke to a couple thousand students at a conference in Myrtle Beach, SC and saw many come to Christ and many more re-surrender.  One of the best things about that event was that my family was with me.  What a thrill it was for me to stand on stage at midnight with my wife and watch balloons falling throughout the packed auditorium.  I felt like God was saying that He was in charge and I should continue to follow Him in the ministry.

Even though I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death this past year, I have no reason to fear.  I feel like it was one of the best years of my life.  I look forward to 2017.  Discipling people, preaching, teaching, and hanging with a family that is growing up rapidly…Wow!  I truly am a spoiled man! Thank you so much for all your continued prayers and encouragement!
